CWCT Certification

The Moeding Alphaton Terracotta Rainscreen System has been fully certified by ‘The Centre for Cladding and Window Technology (CWCT)’ following the carrying out of the tests detailed below:

  • Wind resistance – Serviceability
  • Water tightness – Dynamic
  • Wind resistance – Safety
  • Soft body impact
  • Hard body impact

This certification covers the system in tile sizes up to a maximum of 1200mm x 300mm and all tile formats below this size.

All tile colours and finishes also form an integral part of this certification as does the use of the system Generation 06/75 and 06/150 horizontal rails.

For the specifier this all embracing certification allows the selection of any permutation from the entire Moeding Alphaton range in the knowledge that every option falls under the umbrella of and meets with CWCT requirements.

Of particular note is the high impact resistance of the tiles for both hard and soft body impacts which allows the system to be used for categories B to F inclusive of table 2 of BS8200:1985, a copy of which is provided below.
